“La Fleur”  is an interactive kinetic façade prototype produced for the exhibition “Climat Virturel-Réel” at Le Casemate, Grenoble, France. The exhibition aims to find innovational solutions to the environmental problems.

The kinetic unit of the façade is controlled by an arduino card triggered by a light sensor. The petals of the hexagonal semi sphere open up and close to regulate the light entering the building, allowing thermal efficiency for the building.

A number of prototypes were produced for optimization and the final product was composed of custom made 3D printed and laser cut pieces combined with standard hardware. The panel material is produced by cnc cut alucobond.
