The Çaycuma Sports Center consists of a semi-olympic swimming pool and a gym, designed for the national professional architecture competition in Zonguldak, Turkey.

The building is located next to a park, and a river line under development. The project aims to become a connection from the city to the river line, also leading the young users of the neighbouring schools to sport activities that it offers.

Creating a major promenade from park to the river, it creates a hollow space inside the

building volume that functions as a semi-closed public restaurant, shop and also the

continuity of the walkway. All the other functions are also attached to this main axis.
